Privacy Policy

Open Me collects nothing. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs of any kind. The app has no server of its own and makes no network requests, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent, even in principle.
What stays on your device
- Your boxes — what you packed: messages, notes, names, lists, dates, and any photos you chose to put inside. Stored in the app's own storage on the device and removed when you delete the app.
- Your history — the boxes that have been opened, time capsules and wishes that are waiting, so the app can show them again later.
- Your settings — such as the 3D effect, and whether you have seen the introduction.
None of it is transmitted anywhere.
Camera
If you turn on the 3D effect, the front camera is used to find where your face is, so the scene can shift with your point of view. Each frame is examined on the device by Apple's Vision framework and thrown away at once. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent, and no face is identified — the app only learns roughly where a face is in the frame.
Microphone
The birthday cake listens for you blowing on the phone to put the candle out. Only the loudness of the sound is measured, on the device, while the cake is on screen. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent.
Photos
When you add a photo to a box, you pick it with the standard iOS photo picker. The app receives only the photos you choose, keeps a copy inside the box on your device, and never reads the rest of your library.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Open Me schedules local reminders — for example when a time box is up, a time capsule is ready to open or a wish is due for a check-in. They are created and delivered entirely by iOS on your device. No push server is involved.
Motion
Shaking the phone and tilting it are read from the device's motion sensors to move dice, coins and the scene. The readings are used as they arrive and are not stored.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be about adding a feature that does — and it would be described plainly before it shipped.
