How do I open the box?

On an iPhone Duo, unfold the phone — the hinge is the lid, and there is no Open button. On any other iPhone or iPad, swipe the lid up (or tap the box). To close an open box, pull it back down.

How do I change what's inside?

Press and hold the closed box, then choose Take out and change. The box is emptied and you can pack something new.

The candle won't go out

The cake listens through the microphone. If you declined access, turn it back on in Settings → Open Me → Microphone. Blow close to the bottom of the phone, where the microphone is.

The 3D effect doesn't move

The 3D effect follows your face with the front camera. Check Settings → Open Me → Camera, make sure 3D is switched on in the app, and keep your face in view of the camera.

I hear no sound

Open Me respects the silent switch. Turn the ringer on and raise the volume.

My time capsule won't open

That is the point — it opens on the date you chose when you sealed it. If you allowed notifications, the app will tell you when it is ready.

Does it work without a foldable iPhone?

Yes. Every box works on iPhone and iPad; you lift the lid with a swipe instead of unfolding the phone.

Is my data shared anywhere?

No. Everything stays on your device. See the privacy policy.
